The separation between country musician Sam Hunt and his pregnant wife has been put on hold. A judge granted Sam and Hannah Lee Fowler’s request to terminate their divorce case last month, according to newly released court documents obtained by TMZ.
In case you forgot, back in February, when Hannah first filed for divorce, she mentioned infidelity as the reason, but she swiftly withdrew the petition and refiled it in a different county in Tennessee. The divorce appears to be called off for good this time.
Sam Hunt’s Divorce From His Pregnant Wife Is Called Off
According to court documents acquired by PEOPLE, just two months after filing for divorce, Hannah Lee Fowler asked the court to dismiss the case in April.
Fowler, 33, reversed course after initially filing for divorce in February, only to withdraw her allegations and re-file in a different county that same day. TMZ was the first to break the story of the dismissal.
“They are doing their best every day,” a source tells PEOPLE. “Sam and his wife are continually looking forward to the next chapter. He’s just thinking about his family and what’s to come.”
PEOPLE reached out to Fowler, her lawyers, and a representative for Hunt, 37, but none of them immediately responded.

Hunt was caught wearing his wedding band on the red carpet at the Barnstable Brown Gala, which he attended on his own, on Friday. On the same evening, he went to the Kentucky Derby celebration hosted by Black Rock Thoroughbreds at the Mellwood Art & Entertainment Center, appropriately dubbed the 10th Annual “Fillies & Stallions” party. He documented his day at the Derby with fellow country stars Chase Rice and Morgan Wallen and posted the photo later. Fowler was scheduled to give birth in May, but the pair had kept their pregnancy a secret when they secretly wed in April of 2017.
Fowler claimed adultery and “inappropriate marital conduct” on the part of Hunt in their divorce file, adding that “all hopes of reconciliation are exhausted.”
According to an announcement made in March, the “Body Like a Back Road” singer and Fowler are expecting a daughter.
“I haven’t talked about this, but I have a little girl on the way,” he revealed during his stint as a guest co-host on Country Countdown USA. “I blocked out two months at the end of May and early June. Really this year revolves around that big news in my life.”
Hunt did not comment on the status of his marriage, but he did say that he and Fowler had been discussing potential names for their daughter.
“We’re thinking about it,” he said. “I want her to be in the world before we name her. I want to be able to look at her and decide what name suits her best.” After years of on-and-off dating, the couple finally got back together in 2016 and got married the following year.
