Why Did Jen Hatmaker Get Divorced in 2020?
Although a long time has passed since Jen and Brandon announced their divorce, they have not provided an official explanation. Jen had previously updated her Instagram followers, saying that they were “navigating an unanticipated situation.”
In the following update to her account, she explained what it all meant. “We are in a situation with no handbook and without any understanding of how to negotiate this privately, much less publicly,” she wrote.
“I haven’t been able to hide my sadness from you, and I appreciate your kindness and patience over the past few weeks. I don’t know how to break it to you, and I can’t quite believe I’m saying it, but Brandon and I are divorcing.”
In the wake of Jen and Brandon’s breakup, many readers assumed Brandon had cheated on Jen. It has never been established whether or whether the divorce was the result of infidelity rumors.
Following up on her last article, Jen wrote: “The specifics are between you and me, but suffice it to say that this caught me off guard and has left me speechless even now.
