The 2012 comedy-drama Magic Mike has a sequel, titled Magic Mike XXL. Three years have passed since the events of the previous film. Why Wasn’t Alex Pettyfer In Magic Mike XXL?
There was no sign of Alex Pettyfer, who played Adam “The Kid” in the first film. His disagreement with his on-screen role model Channing Tatum was a major factor in his decision not to return for the sequel.
When asked why Channing Tatum dislikes him, Alex said that “many of the reasons are my own fault” in an interview with Bret Easton Ellison’s B.E.E Podcast. Nonetheless, Alex admitted to feeling guilty about his behavior on set and described Channing as “an incredible influence.” There have been some issues during and after filming between the two actors.
