For The First Time Since His Snowplow Acc*dent, Jeremy Renner Goes Jogging

After being crushed by a snowplow for more than five months, Jeremy Renner continues to put one foot in front of the other and maintains his focus on his recovery.

Renner, who is 52 years old, demonstrated for his millions of followers on Twitter his “first attempt” at running on a high-tech, antigravity treadmill that he set up in what seemed to be his home in Los Angeles.

After being injured in a snowplow acc*dent on New Year’s Day, Jeremy Renner continues to make strides in his recovery. On Thursday, the actor posted a video to his Instagram stories showing him doing mild jogging on a Boost Microgravity Treadmill for the first time since he was hospitalized.

He captioned the post, “First attempt at a light jog with weight assisted lift for the broken tibia. Pain is progress for me.”

In the video, he can be heard asking the guy filming, “It’s a new activity, right? It’s a new movement that I’m not used to… Walking and jogging are very different muscle groups.”

He jokes, “The leg’s still broken, thank goodness for the titanium.”

Actor has been documenting his recovery after an acc*dent that left him with over 30 shattered bones, including this recent video showing him walking with a walker and then a cane.

Earlier this month, at the launch of his new Disney+ show Rennervations, Renner made his red carpet return. A standing ovation greeted Renner as he maneuvered himself through the event on a scooter.

Renner said, “From the personal challenges — physical, emotional, health, all of that — it’s come hand in hand with the show because the show is also very, very, very personal to me, it’s my life.”

Renner’s severe injuries from the collision on January 1 included a punched liver and an eye that had popped out of its socket. Renner had metal plates installed in his face to support his eye socket and titanium rods inserted into one of his legs in addition to having his rib cage reconstructed. News outlets have obtained the official report from the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office, which confirms that the Avengers actor was hurt while trying to save his nephew, Alex Fries, from being hit by the snowplow.

Actor revealed to Diane Sawyer that he considered making end-of-life decisions due to the severity of his injuries, telling his family, “Don’t let me live on tubes on a machine.”

“If I was there on my own, that would have been a horrible way to di*, and surely I would have. Surely,” he said of his life-threatening injuries. “But I wasn’t alone. I was with my nephew, sweet Alex.”
