What is Zatch Bell About?

The story of Zatch Bell takes place on Earth, where the titular character teams up with Kiyomaru Takamine, a 14-year-old boy. Kiyomaru is a lone wolf that doesn’t give a damn about anyone but himself. He’s a top student with an inflated ego who doesn’t appear to care about anything. Zatch Bell’s announcement that Kiyo would be his master in a demon fight royale has him stumped.

This is Zatch Bell’s goal: to win the tournament that provides a Mamodo the right to rule their planet, which Zatch is a member of. As Zatch and Kiyo compete for the championship title, they encounter both friends and opponents along the way in this action-adventure comedy series. Kiyo and Zatch gain new perspectives and perspectives on values and lessons from their mutual experience.
