Melissa London Hilfers created Monarch, which stars Anna Friel, country singer Trace Adkins, Joshua Sasse, Beth Ditto, Meagan Holder, and Susan Sarandon, whose character died in the pilot but appeared in flashbacks in several more episodes.
Michael Rauch, Jason Owen, Gail Berman, Hend Baghdady of The Jackal Group, and showrunner Jon Harmon Feldman are also executive producers alongside Hilfers. Monarch is the second new network show to be canceled this fall. In October, CBS canceled its dating show The Real Love Boat, with Paramount+ picking up the rest of the season.
