Disney has previously re-released an earlier Star Wars film, thus Return of the Jedi will not be the first to do so. In the year prior to the release of Andor on Disney+, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story made a brief comeback to theaters. Between Covid-19 lockdowns in 2020, you may also catch The Empire Strikes Back at the movies. Fans have three new Star Wars films to look forward to in the future, one of which will see Daisy Ridley return to her role as Rey.

You can check the official tweet by Star Wars below in which they have announced the Star Wars: Return of the jedi is coming back to the theaters.

On Saturday, Disney also shared the news that production has begun on a new season of Tales of the Jedi. Dave Filoni, the show’s creator, broke the news during a Star Wars Celebrations discussion centered on The Clone War.

“Tales of the Jedi was so much fun the first time, I decided to do some more,” he said to the crowd. Filoni didn’t say when the new season would start, but with all the new live-action shows coming to Disney+ over the next year and a half, there won’t be a shortage of Star Wars material any time soon.
