When ET Canada reporter Brittnee Blair began, “I know you have six kids,” Robert De Niro quickly corrected her, saying, “Seven, actually.” De Niro made the announcement while promoting his upcoming film About My Father with ET Canada. “The baby is here!”
When congratulating Robert De Niro and his long-rumored girlfriend Tiffany Chen on the birth of their child, Kim Cattrall (Queer as Folk, How I Met Your Father) seemed to divulge the mother’s name.
Speaking to Extra, Cattrall said: “God bless him, his significant other. Tiffany is such a beautiful woman. She came to set once with her family and watched filming, and she was gorgeous and sweet. I’m happy for both of them.”

However, De Niro has been married twice in the past: first to actress and singer Diahnne Abbott (married 1976–1988), and secondly to socialite Grace Hightower (married 1997–2018).
Although De Niro’s baby’s mother has only been confirmed by Cattrall, rumors have circulated that the actor has been seeing martial arts instructor Tiffany Chen since at least 2021. Chen is the daughter of the late Yang tai chi grandmaster William C. C. Chen and a prominent martial artist in her own right. By the time he was 26 years old, Chen had been admitted into the Hall of Fame of Inside Kung-Fu magazine.
Pictures of the two doing Tai Chi together can be seen on Chen’s father’s website, so it’s safe to assume they met while filming The Intern in 2015. Chen played a martial arts master in the film. Last month, Chen reportedly showed her pregnancy bump while having dinner with Robert De Niro.

De Niro’s new baby makes him a father to seven kids. Drena, Abott’s daughter from a previous relationship, was adopted by De Niro when he married Abott in 1976. When Drena was born in 1971, she decided to adopt De Niro’s surname.

A few months after their wedding, in November 1976, De Niro and Abbott welcomed their son, Raphael. Following his split from Abbott, De Niro began a relationship with actress Toukie Smith, with whom he had two children. He dated Smith from 1988 until 1996, and in October 1995, the pair had their twins, Aaron and Julian.
Hightower and his wife had their son Elliot in March 1998, exactly one year after the wedding. Their second child, a daughter named Helen, was born to them through a surrogate in December of 2011.
