Doncic scores 33, Mavs rout Jazz 102-77 for 3-2 series lead

Dorian Finney-Smith was shoved by Whiteside and Reggie Bullock went nose-to-nose as coaches from both sides scrambled to keep their players apart from each other. Finney-Smith and Bullock also got technicals, and Bullock was ejected because it was his second of the game.
It was “nothing,” Doncic stated. I know it’s playoff time, but it’s still exciting. As long as there’s attention, there’ll be attention, but there was nothing. I tried to slam it. It didn’t work out. In the playoffs, these kinds of things happen.”
When Doncic was out, Dallas relied on Jalen Brunson to carry the load offensively, and he delivered with 24 points. Dwight Powell had eight points in the first quarter on 4-of-4 shooting, while Finney-Smith chipped in with 13 more.

The Mavericks are up 3-2 in the first round for the second year in a row. For the second time this season, they couldn’t close out a series victory over the Los Angeles Clippers with a win at home.
