Born in Chicago, Illinois on December 9th, 1969, Lori Greiner is now 49 years old. She is the younger daughter of a real estate entrepreneur and a psychotherapist and spent her childhood on Chicago’s Near North Side. After eight years of marriage, her parents decided to split up.
She attended Loyola University Chicago and graduated with a BA in Communications, concentrating in Journalism. During her college years, she worked as a reporter for the Chicago Tribune. Lori Greiner Career.
Sometime in the middle of the 1990s, Lori Greiner designed a plastic container large enough to hold a hundred pairs of earrings. J. grabbed her earring holder from her. C. Penney right before the holidays, and it was a huge hit. During the first year of operation, Greiner signed a contract with JC Penney.
Less than a year after starting out, she was selling her wares on cable TV, where she made 2,500 first sales of her earring holders in the first two minutes of her debut. She made more than a million dollars in sales that first year after the debut of her earring organizer on Home Shopping Network.
Because of the success of her earring organizer, she was able to pay off the $300,000 loan she took out to produce it in just 18 months. Greiner’s firm made more than $10 million in revenue in just three years of operation. By 2010, Greiner’s For Your Ease Only trademark had generated more than $350 million in sales.
Most of her wares are storage containers with prices ranging from $16 for a tiny anti-tarnish jewelry box to $299 for a rotating, mirrored jewelry cabinet. QVC, the 24-hour cable channel, accounts for 80 percent of her sales. One of the longest-running shows on QVC, “Clever and Unique Creations by Lori Greiner” has been airing monthly since 2000.
She has created more than 700 goods for both sexes, helping consumers find better homes for their jewelry, makeup, remote controls, teetering stacks of sweaters under their mattresses, and even their pots and pans. She has been granted over a hundred patents in the United States and elsewhere for her inventions.
