On February 9th, the Civil Police of the State of Rio de Janeiro announced that Machado had gone missing. Last seen on January 26th in the Campo Grande area, as stated on his missing person’s flyer.

Jairo Magalhaes, who is Machado’s family’s legal representative, revealed the sad news. According to the lawyer’s remarks, Brazilian society has revealed its “cruelty” in full.
Magalhaes also said, “As the lawyer of Jeff’s family, I have the mission to closely follow the investigations. Preliminary information indicates that the actor’s body was found in a trunk, buried in a hole at considerable depth. We are deeply saddened and outraged by the suffering Jeff has endured.”

The lawyer also says that from now on, he will work hard until those who ki!!ed Machado pay for what they did and are held accountable by the country’s court system. His goal is to make sure that “Jeff’s family finds the support they need to overcome this painful moment” since he thinks what happened to the interpreter, who was just 44 years old, is a “brutal” crime.
