Is There A Post Credit Scene In The Flash? First DC Universe Actor Confirmed?

The Flash, a film co-produced by Warner Bros. Discovery and DC Studios, features a post-credits scene that establishes the rules for another film in the DCU. The Flash movie is widely believed to pave the way for the franchise’s soft relaunch as the DC Universe, as stated by DC Studios co-CEO James Gunn.

It has been alleged that Henry Cavill’s Superman appearance was removed from The Flash before its release as part of the new DC Universe’s plan, most likely due to Gunn’s intention to recast Clark Kent in his next Superman: Legacy movie.

Cavill’s Superman makes a cameo in The Flash, although he doesn’t have much of a role in the film. Instead, the focus of the film’s conclusion is on teasing an upcoming film and laying the groundwork for DC Studios’ subtle reboot of the franchise. We discuss the significance of the post-credits scene in The Flash on the future of the DC Universe.

Is There A Post Credit Scene In The Flash Movie?

There is a single scene set after the credits roll for The Flash film, according to Screen Rant. Although it has become commonplace for superhero films to feature not one but two credit scenes—one in the middle and one at the end—there is only one in The Flash.

Barry Allen (Ezra Miller) and Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) leave a bar in the post-credits sequence of “The Flash,” however Barry doesn’t appear wasted thanks to his powers. Aquaman, played by Momoa, is visibly drowsy and they discuss Barry’s experiences with time travel.

He tells Arthur that there are other Batmen, and Arthur responds by wondering if there are alternative versions of him. Referring to the fact that Arthur Curry was a dog in the parallel reality, Barry assures him that he is the same “furry, friendly guy” everywhere.

When Aquaman slips on the sidewalk, he lands in a puddle and takes a few deep breaths while submerged. Even though they are standing directly in front of his apartment, he is too drunk to get up, despite Barry’s repeated requests. Instead, Arthur hands Barry one of his rings, which The Flash takes to be an Atlantean relic, and sends him on a mission to stock up on brew. The scene concludes with no further reference to the multiverse. Check out the post credit scene of The Flash below if you haven’t seen it so far.

Will Aquaman, Played By Jason Momoa, Appear In James Gunn’s DCU?

Given that Ben Affleck’s Batman has been wiped out of existence, the post-credits scene from The Flash suggests that Jason Momoa’s Aquaman might live in James Gunn’s DC Universe. This year, Momoa hinted that Aquaman might eventually become a part of the DC Universe, saying, “I absolutely think Aquaman will be involved in the DCU.”

The actor also mentioned that he and Safran are friends and that he has worked with Safran as a producer. It’s probable that Momoa’s Aquaman may remain a part of the DC Universe after his positive update, which was facilitated by his friendship with DC Studios’ co-CEO.

However, it is not yet apparent how Aquaman, if at all, will fit into the DC Universe’s plans for the first chapter, “Gods and Monsters.” As of yet, there are no confirmed projects in which Momoa’s Aquaman could be included. Moreover, Aquaman 3 has not been announced, and it is not known if a third film in the franchise will be made. It’s unclear how Momoa’s Aquaman would continue in the DCU, but the future looks promising.

The situation is compounded by the fact that Momoa has long expressed a desire to portray Lobo, a position he has been linked with in Gunn’s DC Universe. It’s arguable that Momoa could continue playing both Aquaman and Lobo in the DCU, although the latter would likely mean the end of the former. Alternatively, he may keep playing Aquaman and switch out Lobo.

When Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom comes out later this year, we’ll have a better idea of what happened. Momoa’s participation in the The Flash post-credits scene solidified his status as Aquaman until then, and there’s a chance he’ll keep playing Arthur Curry in Gunn’s DC Universe.
