How to unblur Course Hero answers
For clearer Course Hero solutions, go to “Inspect,” then “Sources,” and finally open “split-0-page-1” in a new tab. To fix the hazy upper half of the answers, open “split-0-page-1” in a new tab, then remove “-html-bg” from the URL. Flip “split-0” to “split-1” to unblur the bottom half of the answers.
In the case of papers with only one split, switching from “split-0” to “split-1” may not be necessary. Simply replace “page-1” with “page-2” to view the solutions to the questions on the second page. After updating the page, remember to switch “split-1” and “split-0” as appropriate. Chrome is strongly suggested for this purpose.
Google Chrome can be downloaded and installed at https://www.google.com/chrome/ if you don’t already have it.
Learn how to clarify your Course Hero results below.
1. Right-click the page and click on “Inspect”
To begin, open the Course Hero document whose answers you wish to correct. Inspect the page after you have reached it on the Course Hero document. You can achieve this by using the document’s context menu.
When you right-click on the file, a menu of choices will appear. Terms like “Back,” “Print,” “Inspect,” and others fall under this category. Examine the page thoroughly by selecting the “Inspect” button.
2. Click on “Sources”
After selecting “Inspect,” you’ll be taken to the “Elements” tab. You can access different sections of the site by using the various tabs along the top bar. Element, Console, Source, and others fall under this category.
To access the “Sources” page, please click here.
3. Open “split-0-page-1” in a new tab
When you go to the page labelled “Sources” after clicking on “Sources,” you can see where the information came from. Several documents are displayed on the page.
Here’s what you need to do:
- Click on the “doc-asset” file.
- Right-click “split-0-page-1”.
- Click on “Open in new tab”.
To view the “split-0-page-1” file, expand the “doc-asset” file by clicking on it. An picture (.jpg) of the first page of the manuscript is located in the “split-0-page-1” file. By eliminating some characters from the URL and opening the file in a new tab, the answers will become clear (more in the next step).
4. Remove “-html-bg” from the URL
The first page of the document will be displayed after you open the “split-0-page-1” file in a new tab. But the solutions are obscured in the document, and you’ll have to reveal them. To do so, you need to remove “-html-bg” from the URL.
An additional “-html-bg” part can be found in the document’s URL. Now, select “-html-bg” in the URL and erase it by pressing the Backspace key on your computer.
5. Use “split-0” to unblur the top half of the answers
After reviewing the first page of the document and learning its contents, you can go on to the second.
Page 2’s answers can be viewed by substituting “page-2” for “page-1” in the URL.
If you replace “page-1” with “page-2,” you’ll be taken to the second page of the document, which contains the solutions to the questions on that page. There is a catch, though: you’ll only get access to half of the solutions.
Step #6 must be repeated to restore clarity to the remaining answers. To review, you need to experiment by switching the “split-0” part to the “split-1” part, and so on. You now know how to clear up your Course Hero solutions.
