With the release of her second album, El Mal Querer, in 2018, Rosalía gained recognition on a global scale. The record, which served as the performer’s capstone effort for the Catalonia College of Music, reached its highest point at the top of both the Spanish Albums chart and the US Billboard Latin Pop Albums chart.
Five singles— Malamente, Pienso en tu Mirá, Di Mi Nombre, Bagdad, and De Aqu No Sales —were used to promote it. Critics gave “El Mal Querer” high praise, and it went on to win six Latin Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year.
Rosalía had a number of number-one hits in 2019 including Con Altura, Aute Cuture, Millionària, and Yo x Ti, T x M. Additionally, she was a part of the remix of Travis Scott’s song “Highest in the Room.” On the 2020 single TKN, Rosala collaborated once again with Scott and scored her maiden Billboard Hot 100 entry.
