Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is the latest Korean romantic comedy on Netflix. It stars Shin Min-A and Kim Seon-Ho and is set in the quiet town of Gongjin. The story is light and fun. Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha is a Korean drama that promises the “killing” and chemistry that Korean dramas are known for. The characters were raised and have different values from each other. I was a little bit excited to see Kim Seon-Ho in a new drama because I liked him in Start-Up. People loved him because he was the good boy whose heart broke when Suzy’s character chose Nam Do-San.
So, I was happy that he was the main character in a drama where he had a good chance of finally getting his happily ever after. I’m sure most people who like Korean dramas are also happy. Fans are happy when second leads finally get the main roles they deserve.

Most of the K-dramas I’ve seen take place in Seoul or another big city. But this takes place in a small, rural town near the sea. It creates a calm and peaceful atmosphere, and we’ve seen that the village is peaceful because everyone knows each other. I wanted to go there because of what I read. The setting gave the story a romantic air that was laid-back, quiet, simple, and in some ways reminiscent of the past.
2. The pairing of Shin Min-A and Kim Sun-Ho
This is their first official time working together in a drama, and after just two episodes, they already have that “something” that makes actors work well together. They have the right amount of charm and chemistry. Not to mention that they both smile the same way. In the drama, it’s fun and interesting to see how they interact with each other. We hope they can keep the chemistry going in the next episodes.
3. Mr Handy Hong Du-Sik
On Start-up, Kim Seon Ho plays a classy “investment genius.” On another comedy show, he plays an unemployed town chief who does a lot of different jobs. Even though it was funny enough to see him as a town chief, car mechanic, sauna cashier, fish auctioneer, barista, and realtor all in the same episode, it was even funnier to see him show off his wallet full of IDs for lots of other jobs. He’s a long way from the cool Mentor he was in Start-Up, but he’s still a Mr Handy Jack of all trades!

With the perfect chemistry between the “dimple couple,” this drama is a sure sign of a romantic, beautiful, and bright day. This song, “Romantic Sunday,” was first sung by J. Island in 2007. Car, the Garden remade it for the OST. It fits perfectly with the setting of a small, relaxing seaside town and with cute flashbacks at the end of each episode.
