Many Dream followers took to Twitter on Wednesday (June 10) after an image purporting to show the YouTuber surfaced, causing a social media frenzy.

DREAM CONFIRMS VIRAL ‘FACE REVEAL’ WAS FAKE
On Thursday (June 11th), Dream took to his private Twitter @DreamHangout to debunk a viral image that claimed to be of him.
A lot of people started body-shaming the guy in the photo after the false “face reveal” appeared on Twitter. That’s what Dream was alluding to.
“Death threats, suicide encouragement, and harassment isn’t the tremendous win they think it is either,” Dream wrote in a second tweet. It’s not okay to make up screenshots or stories either.”
Many people use Twitter to spew hate and animosity at one another. Don’t forget to be a positive influence on others. As long as you’re smiling, you’ll be fine.”
HE POSTED ANOTHER FAKE ‘FACE REVEAL’ ON HIS PUBLIC TWITTER
Public Twitter, Dream’s second social media platform after his private one, was decidedly less serious.
He wrote, “Decided to face expose… ” Please be courteous:/ once more enthralling people with the prospect of seeing his real face.
In reality, the accompanying photo is just a computer-generated image of a random male. Dream, you’re welcome for another bogus race to reveal!
FANS SLAM FAKE ‘FACE REVEAL’ BODY-SHAMERS
Those who ‘fat-shamed’ the man in the photo continue to be hammered on Twitter.
The false Dream face leak proved some of you to be fatphobic, I just wanted to point it out. As though y’all had been waiting for this moment to happen. That’s why I’m asking you to think about yourself,” one individual wrote.
It makes sense to me that so many anonymous YouTubers don’t show their faces, as another commenter put it: I am disgusted by the “fake dream leak” and the responses to it. Also, keep in mind that even if that snapshot may not literally depict a dreamer, there is a genuine person in it. It’s obvious that you’re all terrible people.
“Dream antis used a picture of a random kid and said it was Dream’s face reveal. That made me very angry.” People’s fatphobia sprang to life, and they attacked Dream for being a “catfish,” a third participant said.
