The Alameda County Fairgrounds are on 110 hectares (270 acres) of land in Pleasanton, California. It is where the Alameda County Fair has been held every year since 1912. It is also where many trade shows and community events take place. The Pleasanton Fairgrounds Racetrack, which is on its grounds, was built in 1858. This makes it the oldest one-mile (1.6 km) horse racing track in the U.S. In the track’s infield, there is an amphitheatre with space for 3,000 people and a 9-hole golf course.

Since 1959, the Alameda County Central Railroad Society has kept a model train exhibit at the fairgrounds. It has grown to two 15-by-100-foot (4.6 by 30.5 m) layouts in O scale and HO scale.
Building J also called the Amador Pavilion, is an arena and livestock event space at the fairgrounds that can be used for many different things. The National Indoor Football League’s Tri-Valley Ranchers played there for a short time.
There were fair cancellations in 1917–18, 1942–44, and 2020.
