A Million Little Things Season 5 Release Date
Season five of A Million Little Things has yet to be announced, but it is expected to premiere on ABC soon. Although no release date has been announced, given that Season 4 is still airing, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that the show will premiere sometime in late 2022 or even early 2023.
ABC is expected to announce A Million Little Things’ fifth season soon.
A Million Little Things Plot and Inspiration
Created by DJ Nash, it follows a group of Boston pals as their lives change forever when one of them takes his own life.
After one of their friends committed suicide, the story tells us how these friends try to live their lives to the fullest and how this tragic incident changes their lives forever. Suicide has been glamorized in the drama, according to this show’s premise.
Nash’s own experience of losing a friend similarly served as inspiration for this series, even though the events depicted here are fictional.
When DJ Nash appeared on an episode of ABC News Chief Medical Correspondent Dr. Jennifer Ashton’s podcast Life After Suicide, he explained how the series was inspired by his own personal experience.

Recalling an encounter with an old friend years ago, he recalls making plans for lunch the following week. Prior to their next scheduled get-together, he received the devastating news that his friend had taken his own life.
He was saved by Nash’s lunch, but he didn’t believe it for a second. “However, I do feel like there were a lot of seconds, like, we could have had another lunch.” As a result, Nash was able to use the play A Million Little Things to help others cope with their own losses.
