Why Do We Celebrate Teacher Appreciation Day?
Whether you know it as Teacher Appreciation Day, Teachers’ Day, or National Teacher Day, it is celebrated yearly in the United States to show gratitude to educators for everything they do for their students.
It is the focal point of a weeklong celebration of educators and is held annually on the Tuesday of the first full week of May. To celebrate, many schools host activities when students make gifts and thank-you notes for their teachers.
