Goku and Naruto are two of the most well-known characters in the history of manga and anime. Both protagonists have been staples in the hearts of readers for quite some time. While Naruto continues to develop as a ninja, Goku is an extraterrestrial powerhouse who has repeatedly defended Earth. There has been much debate amongst fans of both characters on who would come out on top in a fight between them.
It’s been a long time since the last episode of either Dragon Ball or Naruto. The characters of Goku and Naruto have been popular among fans because they have been able to watch them mature from childhood to adulthood while also participating in several exciting adventures. Over the course of many years, both of them honed their skills to become unrivaled in their respective realms as fighters. Both of these heroes have rescued the world several times, but what would happen if they ever had to battle one other?

Naruto: Great Growth
A young Naruto was depicted as a slacker in the classroom. His inability to master even the most fundamental ninja skills made him the worst student in his class. The fact that he couldn’t create a clone ninja was particularly disappointing.
Over time, Naruto would hone his abilities. A dedicated student and diligent trainee, he rose through the ranks to become the Hokage of his village and was widely regarded as the best ninja in the entire region. When fighting, Goku usually resorts to his hands alone. Even though he has the might of ki on his side, he cannot rely on Jutsu.
Goku’s ability to fly is also unique compared to Naruto’s. When fighting, Goku would rely on both his martial arts training and his ki-based attacks. Goku’s fighting prowess is the result of years of hard practice that he began when he was still a young boy.
Naruto: Rasengan
Naruto’s signature move is the Rasengan. The Jutsu was devised by the Fourth Hokage and took him three years to develop. This technique was taught to him by Master Jiraiya. Naruto put up a lot of time and effort to learn the Rasengan, but he was only able to successfully use it after he combined it with his shadow clones.
When Naruto first successfully executed a Rasengan, he was a young child. His mastery of this Jutsu has grown over the years. When it came to the Rasenshuriken, Naruto was able to put his own spin on the Jutsu. Both the Rasengan and Rasenshuriken are useful in combat because they do not necessitate hand signs.
Goku: Kamehameha
Master Roshi taught Goku the Kamehameha technique. Goku’s signature Kamehameha is taught to all of Master Roshi’s students. This was the first instance of an energy attack seen in a Dragon Ball episode.
Developing the Kamehameha took Master Roshi decades of training in martial arts. Goku learns the attack from watching Master Roshi do it, and he uses it on his first try. Kamehameha’s only real drawback is that it takes a while to charge the strike.
Naruto: Sage Mode
Rarely do shinobi achieve the unique mental state known as Sage Mode. Sage Mode may only be attained by harmonizing one’s chakra with the natural energy of the world around them. By entering Sage Mode, one gains access to a wide variety of unique features.
One needs a lot of chakras to enter Sage Mode. The snakes of Ryuchi Cave or the toads of Mount Myoboku are your best bets for learning Sage Mode. There have been multiple moments in combat where Naruto has entered Sage Mode.
