The Mandalorian season 3 release date could be summer 2022

The third season of The Mandalorian may be coming to Disney Plus this summer, though it hasn’t been confirmed. Actor Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, said the following on The Rich Eisen Show: “You’ll receive it very soon, I promise. I need to finish up a few more things before I can put it all together in my work. However, I expect it to be this summer. Though no specific date has been set, expect it soon.”

According to TV Line, the third season of The Mandalorian is expected to premiere around Christmas. If that’s the case, and it continues to release episodes on Wednesdays, we can expect a premiere date of December 7, 14, 21, or 28. The most likely candidates are the second and third.

Additionally, Carl Weathers, who plays Greef Karga in The Mandalorian, has confirmed that season 3 of the show began filming in 2021 and has since wrapped. The THR report that season 3, Obi-Wan Kenobi, and Andor will all be on Disney Plus in 2022 further supports the idea that the show will premiere in late 2022.

As a result, Disney has stated that Andor and Obi-Wan Kenobi will both be released in 2022, but nothing about The Mandalorian season 3 has been announced. Maybe in 2023, we’ll see it? An official response is expected within the next few days.

The Mandalorian season 3 cast

The cast of The Mandalorian season 3 is far from carbonite at this early stage. Din Djarin will be played once again by Pedro Pascal, with Grogu standing by his side. Production on The Mandalorian season 3 was feared to be pushed back due to Pascal’s new television series, The Last of Us, but it has since been confirmed.

Giancarlo Esposito, who plays Moff Gideon, revealed in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that Gideon will play a larger role in the film’s third installment: “Next season, I think you’ll see a lot more of me. Moff Gideon is likely to be a common sight.” What an ominous sign…

At Steel City Con, Carl Weathers confirmed that he would be returning to the role of Greef Karga, as well as directing once more. We can expect Katee Sackhoff’s Bo-Katan to return after the conclusion of The Mandalorian season 2, especially with the Darksaber now in Din’s hands. Rosario Dawson’s Ahsoka may return, but her future is still up in the air following her appearance in The Book of Boba Fett.

Christopher Lloyd, best known for his role in Back to the Future, has been cast in a mystery role.

The actress who plays Mercedes Varnado has confirmed that she will not be returning to reprise her role as Koska Reeves for season three.

Cara Dune, played by Gina Carano, will also not be appearing in the show. There is a general belief that she will be a major character in the spin-off series. However, following her social media activity, LucasFilm has severed all ties with Carano. It’s been reported that the Rangers of the New Republic spin-off has been canceled and that she won’t be appearing in season 3.

This appears to be the strongest case, with Mando and Bo-Katan both claiming ownership of the Darksaber. While fighting Moff Gideon in Chapter 16, Din accidentally claimed the Mandalore weapon. If Bo-Katan wanted to reclaim it from Gideon, they would now have to face off against Mando in a battle of wills.

The Book of Boba Fett closed a plot hole introduced in The Clone Wars, in which Sabine Wren seemingly handed over the Darksaber to Bo-Katan without incident. The Armorer believes that Bo-reign Katan’s on Mandalore ended in disaster because he was given the Darksaber rather than winning it. However, it appears that Din intends to keep the weapon and put it to good use in the pursuit of a bounty, with the assistance of the Armorer.

Grogg’s reunion with Din is another major plot point. Baby Yoda was torn in The Book of Boba Fett between joining the Jedi Order and remaining with Papa Mando, but he chose the latter. If the young Mandalorian has any second thoughts, or if Luke Skywalker plays any further role in The Mandalorian, it will be fascinating to watch.

It appears that Grogu’s abilities will remain an important part of The Mandalorian. At GalaxyCon, Moff Gideon actor Giancarlo Esposito hinted at the villain’s motivations for pursuing Baby Yoda: “I am going to get this child, and it’s for a very different reason than many people think,” he said. To put it another way, “This child has magic powers, is 50 years old, and can see the future, and we want everyone to know that this child could save our universe” on this show.” Considering this, it stands to reason that the Empire is still searching for The Child and that we will likely see the little green guy again.

Esposito also made the following remark in jest: “You’re about to witness my execution of this infant. So, what do you think? [Laughs] Even if it’s completely illogical, I have to believe that I’m going to win.” Hopefully, that will not be the case…

Aside from that, the actor has indicated that his character will still be a formidable adversary. “This villain is so powerful and knowledgeable that he’s known as the uber villain for a long time now. In other words, you can count on seeing Moff again… and pretty soon “He told Metro.co.uk.

He appears to have one final trick up his sleeve, even though he is no longer a threat to anyone. At some point during the season, he explicitly mentions receiving information from an unidentified source, something he does again in the season 2 finale. It’s not out of the question that the upcoming season of Disney Plus will delve deeper into this relationship. Has Thrawn been spotted? Is there a major player in the Empire that we’re not aware of?

The Mandalorian season 3 trailer: When to expect a teaser

Season 3 of The Mandalorian has already begun to tease us, thanks to Dave Filoni’s first sneak peek: “There will be a slew of exciting new experiences ahead. Let’s just say that the Force will be strong with this because I can’t say anything more specific.” There’s no way to know for sure, but that sounds like Mando.

Season 3 of The Mandalorian has a slew of storylines begging to be resolved.

This appears to be the strongest case, with Mando and Bo-Katan both claiming ownership of the Darksaber. While fighting Moff Gideon in Chapter 16, Din accidentally claimed the Mandalore weapon. If Bo-Katan intended to reclaim it from Gideon, they would now have to face up against Mando in a battle of wills.

The Book of Boba Fett closed a plot hole introduced in The Clone Wars, in which Sabine Wren seemingly handed over the Darksaber to Bo-Katan without incident. The Armorer believes that Bo-rule Katan’s on Mandalore ended in disaster because he was given the Darksaber rather than winning it. However, it appears that Din intends to keep the weapon and put it to good use in the chase of a bounty, with the assistance of the Armorer.

Grogg’s reunion with Din is another key story event. Baby Yoda was torn in The Book of Boba Fett between joining the Jedi Order and remaining with Papa Mando, but he chose the latter. To begin, Mando and Bo-Katan could engage in a sword fight over the Darksaber. Mando or Bo-Katan must battle Din now that Din has the Darksaber.

There’s a chance we’ll see more adventures with Din and Baby Yoda. Din and Grogu are reunited at the end of The Book of Boba Fett, but Grogu still has a lot of decisions to make regarding his future.
