Lifeweaver Overwatch Hero

New Hero Of Overwatch 2, Lifeweaver, Revealed By Blizzard Entertainment

Overwatch 2 will soon get a new hero in the form of Lifeweaver, a Support character from Thailand who has a deep appreciation for the natural world. His arrival was announced on Twitter on April 4th, and his full set of skills were unveiled not long after.

GamesHub was able to go further into the development of Lifeweaver, his powers, and the studio’s future intentions for Support heroes in a recent interview with the team behind the new hero.

Lifeweaver has a “unconventional” set of abilities that grants them superior mobility and verticality as well as a wide array of support and self-defense options.

According to Overwatch 2’s Lead Story Designer Gavin Jurgens-Fyhrie, the hero’s attributes, including as his auto-aim, will make him appealing to players of varying skill levels. While Jurgens-Fyhrie acknowledges that his ability loadout is beginner-friendly, he also notes that players of the Lifeweaver class will have “so much to master…and so much to learn.”

Lifeweaver Will Join Overwatch 2 In The Upcoming Season

As stated by Polygon, Blizzard Entertainment has announced that Lifeweaver, a support character, will join Overwatch 2 in the upcoming fourth season.

The mandala-like petals on Lifeweaver’s back are reminiscent of lotuses, and he looks to be clutching one in his primary fire hand. The character appears to be of Thai descent, as seen by his dress and the prang in the background of an official screenshot. To top it all off, he’s totally hot.

In the video released by Blizzard, we see Lifeweaver create a flower-shaped platform, which he then places under an Orisa who is using its ultimate ability, essentially canceling out the effect of the Orisa’s Terra Surge.

Using his own ultimate ability, Lifeweaver is able to conjure a massive tree-like entity that both heals teammates and provides shelter from above. You may check the official tweet by Bad Pachimari below in which the new hero of overwatch 2 can be seen.

The 37th playable character in Overwatch 2, Lifeweaver is also the ninth support character in the game. Blizzard has promised to add more heroes to Overwatch 2’s support pool after releasing tank Ramattra and support character Kiriko since the game’s October debut.

Overwatch 2 Season 4 is scheduled to go live on April 11. Like previous heroes, Lifeweaver will not be instantly playable in the game’s competitive modes, and will instead be made available as part of the next battle pass. Overwatch 2 is now available on the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Windows PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
