Kelly McCreary Announces That She Is Pregnant With Her First Child
Kelly McCreary, who has played Dr. Maggie Pierce on Grey’s Anatomy since its tenth season, is expecting her first child, as reported by E! Online.
On Monday, August 16, the actress shared the news of her pregnancy via an Instagram post sponsored by Clearblue. She accompanied a snapshot of herself with the words, “When being late comes right on time,” referring to a positive pregnancy test.

After dating for two years and meeting on the set of Grey’s Anatomy, the soon-to-be parents finally tied the knot in May of 2019. “Two years down, [infinity sign emoji] to go,” she wrote to him on Instagram. “Happy Anniversary, my baby, my love, my favorite person, the best decision I’ve ever made in my whole entire life, @petechatmon.”
Recently, Grey’s Anatomy has been adding new members to the cast and crew. Camilla Luddington, a co-star of McCreary’s, announced in August 2020 that she had given birth to a son, whom she named Lucas.
Unsurprisingly, McCreary’s followers and famous peers alike were overjoyed by the news and greeted her announcement post with congratulations. Grey’s Anatomy star Ellen Pompeo was among them, and instead of words she left a string of clapping emojis.
