Ex-UFC fighter Chael Sonnen is facing 11 counts of violence for an incident that took place on December 18 in Las Vegas, last year, according to court paperwork. The ex-boxer was also accused of a serious crime, specific battery by strangulation.
An assault charge was filed against Sonnen on the basis that he had attacked six people. After a man reported that Sonnen had strangled him, criminal charges were brought against him.
Sonnen has remained silent on the matter, but fellow ex-UFC fighter Brendan Schaub has said that Sonnen fought Schaub because he was trying to defend his wife, Brittany.

Who is Chael Sonnen’s wife?
In 2013, Chael and Brittany Sonnen tied the knot. To put it simply, Sonnen first met Brittany at about in Portland. She “went away” after he made some small talk with her. But he stuck with her through the entire melee to get another shot.
When Sonnen finally met her, he used a novel approach to obtain her contact information: he pretended his phone was dead, asked to use hers, and placed a call to himself.
Brittany’s brother heard her chatting with Sonnen and grabbed her away. Sonnen then texted Brittany warning her not to give out her phone number to random people. The following day, they reconnected and started dating.
It’s Thero, Sonnen’s son. He joined the world in 2015. In 2016, the couple welcomed their second daughter, Blauna Dian. But unfortunately, she succumbed to listeria shortly thereafter.
Brittany is a private person, therefore few details about her life before and after she married Sonnen are available. There have been stories that say she is now in her late 30s.
Sonnen was accused of assaulting five men
Sonnen is being sued for allegedly assaulting five men with punches, knees, strikes, and kicks. He is also charged with using “force of violence” by punching and shoving a woman.
Initially, the 44-year-old was accused of five separate assaults. Those charges, however, were dismissed without prejudice in January. A criminal complaint with 11 counts of the battery was submitted on March 16.
