The politician was aware of her daughter’s serious illness, but insurance company policies prevented her from staying in the hospital.
Amy claimed she could have let it go because she was a new mother with a sick child. But she made the conscious decision to take action rather than watch helplessly as what had occurred to her happened to someone else.
