Recently, My Hero, Academia has been among the most watched and critically acclaimed anime series ever. Most people in the show’s universe have some sort of unique ability, or “quirk,” at birth. Due to these abnormalities, society has given rise to heroic figures and villainous figures that are forever at odds.

All Might, one of the show’s most popular heroes, is the one who gives Izuku Midoriya his peculiar trait (Deku). All Might is a strong protagonist and the greatest hero in the My Hero Academia universe. With such a stellar reputation, it’s no surprise that many of All Might’s devotees have drawn parallels to another popular superhero: Superman.

All Might: Sheer Determination

All Might: Resilient

All Might may be outmatched physically and mentally, but he may come out on top because of his tenacity and will. Both the anime and the manga have demonstrated that All Might is highly tough and can take a hammering before coming out on top.

The fights against Nomu and All for One demonstrated All Might’s resiliency by showing him take significant damage before recovering and ultimately winning.

The story of My Hero Academia really begins to take off as All Might’s power begins to dwindle, but we still don’t get a good sense of what makes him so formidable.
