Recently, My Hero, Academia has been among the most watched and critically acclaimed anime series ever. Most people in the show’s universe have some sort of unique ability, or “quirk,” at birth. Due to these abnormalities, society has given rise to heroic figures and villainous figures that are forever at odds.
All Might, one of the show’s most popular heroes, is the one who gives Izuku Midoriya his peculiar trait (Deku). All Might is a strong protagonist and the greatest hero in the My Hero Academia universe. With such a stellar reputation, it’s no surprise that many of All Might’s devotees have drawn parallels to another popular superhero: Superman.
This essay will explain why All Might would win against Superman five times and how Superman would win against All Might five times.

All Might: Sheer Determination
It’s not a superpower, but All Might’s dogged persistence is one of his greatest strengths. Despite his rapidly diminishing strength, he is able to triumph over some of the show’s most formidable antagonists thanks to his unwavering resolve.
The conflict he had with All for One is the prime illustration of this. All Might used all his last reserves of strength and drained his One for All ability in this battle. It was only through sheer willpower that he was able to muster the energy for one final strike and knock out the bad guy.
Superman: Cold Breath
Although All Might is formidable, his power is predicated primarily on his extraordinary strength. On the other hand, Superman is equipped with more than just super strength; his icy breath, for example, might render All Might immobile from a safe distance.
Superman has a significant edge due to his ability to incapacitate All Might from a distance, which, if used appropriately, would most likely result in a victory for the Man of Steel.
All Might: Superman Can Lose To A Beatdown
It’s common knowledge that Superman is vulnerable to Kryptonite and magic and that he may be easily defeated by a red sun and a good beating. In Death of Superman, Superman was defeated by Doomsday in the most infamous case of Superman being beaten to a pulp.
Therefore, All Might has a chance of winning if he can successfully launch a beatdown on Superman, possibly landing the United States of Smash a few times.
Superman: Flight
The ability to fly is arguably one of Superman’s most recognizable and coveted superpowers. This not only gives Superman an advantage over other heroes in his ability to travel quickly but also gives him an additional tool in his arsenal.
Superman can use his incredible strength to lift his foes into the air and either drop them or deliver a devastating blow to the ground below. And if Superman really wanted to put an end to things, he could always just take off into space and murder his foe there and then.
All Might: Resilient
All Might may be outmatched physically and mentally, but he may come out on top because of his tenacity and will. Both the anime and the manga have demonstrated that All Might is highly tough and can take a hammering before coming out on top.
The fights against Nomu and All for One demonstrated All Might’s resiliency by showing him take significant damage before recovering and ultimately winning.
Superman: Heat Vision
Superman’s heat vision, in conjunction with his frigid breath talent, would make him a formidable foe from a distance, sparing the Man of Steel the horrible prospect of engaging in close-quarters combat.
However, even if Superman were susceptible to a beatdown, All Might’s reliance on hand-to-hand combat means that it may be impossible for him to overcome Superman’s heat vision.
All Might: We Don’t Know All Might’s Strength Level
The story of My Hero Academia really begins to take off as All Might’s power begins to dwindle, but we still don’t get a good sense of what makes him so formidable. In addition, it appears that All Might is reining in his abilities to prevent collateral damage to innocent bystanders or other heroes.
Therefore, if All Might is able to fight without limiting his power to protect people around him, he very well may be able to match Superman’s strength level.
Superman: Can Move Planets
Although the degree of All Might’s strength is unknown, Superman has consistently demonstrated his entire potential for physical prowess. So, it’s safe to assume that Superman possesses a level of strength that is comparable to that of a deity. Superman, for instance, can shift planets with his incredible power.
The implication is that Superman might maybe defeat All Might with a single, fully powerful punch if he wanted to end the fight swiftly and didn’t care about All Might’s continuing existence.
All Might: Plus Ultra!
We might not be able to fathom the depths of All Might’s might, but that might not even be relevant. Both the anime and manga have made it abundantly obvious that All Might can use his “Plus Ultra” ability to deliver blows that exceed 100% of his normal strength.
Since it’s possible that All Might has no physical limits, it’s also possible that he could beat Superman if he went Plus Ultra in their battle.
Superman: Super Speed
In the show, All Might is a fast fighter, but he can’t compete with Superman’s super speed. Because of his incredible speed, Superman can sometimes even outpace the Flash, giving him a significant advantage over All Might.
Perhaps Superman could move so rapidly that All Might wouldn’t have time to react, allowing him to vanquish All Might in an instant.
