The Appearance of All Might

Toshinori’s superhero form is a tall, muscular man reminiscent of a standard superhero in American comic books. His hair spikes on top of his head, and no of the time of day, he always has more shadows on his body than any other character in the series.

His heroic getup is a red, white, and blue jumpsuit with golden gloves and boots, in the style of stock American heroes. Both with and without a cape have been displayed. The overall aesthetic is quite traditional.

His genuine appearance is that of an abnormally thin man with sharp features, long limbs, and a long neck. Disguising the loss of his eyebrows, he sports spiky, disheveled hair and two bangs that frame his face. He has a massive scar across the left side of his chest, and he frequently spits blood when he is startled or angry. Until his actual form was revealed, he hid his Quirk by hiding under baggy clothing, but now he wears more form-fitting garments.

Be aware that his eyes are hollow in both appearances. In his natural state, though, his eyes are more prominent.

The Appearance of Goku

Goku shares his father’s dark eye color, a spiky black haircut, and other facial traits. His mother, on the other hand, gave him gentler eyes, a more pleasant disposition, and a paler skin tone. One of Goku’s most distinctive features is his hair. He wears two bangs on the left side of his forehead and three on the right.

With four spikes in the front and three bangs in the back, his hair certainly makes a statement (later in the anime, he has five spikes in the front and four in the back). Goku was born with the long, prehensile tail characteristic of the Saiyan race from Universe 7. Goku’s tail was cut off and allowed to grow back several times during his early youth, but when he was in his late teens, Kami cut it off permanently to prevent his Great Ape transformation.

Goku, at age 12, seemed much younger than his 12 years. He was unusually short for his age and was mistaken for a child (people were surprised when learning his actual age). People assumed he was as young as he seemed because of his somewhat naive demeanor. Goku’s appearance didn’t alter over the next few years, other than his muscles getting more defined. His height started increasing noticeably about the time he became 15 years old.

He experienced a significant growth spurt about the time he turned 18 and suddenly towered over many of his peers. Several women, notably Bulma and Heles, have remarked on his good looks. The only ways to tell him apart from before were his naive mentality and “trademark” hairdo, both of which had changed significantly due to his transformation. At the age of 25, Goku experienced another growth spurt that made him taller and stronger than his human comrades.

A Gi is his go-to garb because he spends so much time in training. Goku’s original uniform consisted of a tank top, red wristbands, dark blue kung fu shoes, and a blue gi with a white bow tied around the waist. Once Goku had completed his training with Master Roshi, he adopted the standard Turtle School Uniform, which included a red gi (later an orange gi) with a black knot tied obi over the waist, blue wristbands, and blue kung fu shoes, as well as Roshi’s kanji written on the back and front-left side of the shirt.

All Might vs Goku

Goku wore a black short-sleeved undershirt (later dark blue) with this gi during his training with Kami and Mr. Popo, and he also wore dark blue boots with a yellow border and red laces. Goku wore King Kai’s kanji on the back of his gi shirt as a symbol of his training under him. Goku has his kanji written on both the front and back of his gi shirt during the Battle on Planet Namek.

Goku wore a simplified version of this gi during the Android War and the Majin Buu Conflict, which was distinguished by the absence of kanji and the addition of a blue sash-style obi around his waist. Other than that, the gi was otherwise identical, with Goku donning the same dark blue undershirt, wristbands, and boots as before, but with a red border and yellow/tan laces. He wears the same clothing for the majority of Dragon Ball Super and even has his original kanji reappeared on the front and back of his gi top.

Goku appears in the Prison Planet Saga wearing the same suit Whis gifted him, but this time it has the logo of Goku’s employer, Capsule Corp. A blue shirt sits beneath the gi he’s wearing. He wears a suit and ties in the Universal Conflict Saga, just like the Grand Minister. His ensemble consists of a red belt with his kanji on the round buckle and a dark blue long-sleeved shirt with an orange circle over the chest and saggy shoulder pads. Jodhpur-like pants of the same hue as the shirt and white boots that reach just below his shins complete the ensemble.

Even while Goku wears the identical outfit in the Universe Creation Saga as he did in the previous arc, the orange hue is more muted, and the blue undershirt, knotted belt, wristbands, and boots have been swapped out for a darker but still somewhat muted black. In the New Space-Time War Saga, after being freed from the Demon’s Hyperbolic Time Chamber, Goku returns alongside Vegeta while wearing the Dark Empire’s emblem on his gi.

Goku wears a turquoise gi with a white knot-style obi, orange wristbands, dark green pants, black kung fu shoes, and orange stockings for the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament. The color of this clothing is altered for the manga volume cover titled “Goodbye, Dragon World.” His new getup features a lime green gi, purple wristbands, cyan leggings, and the same pair of boots as before, but in a different shade of purple.

Despite his preference for wearing a fighting gi, Goku has a wide variety of other clothing options at his disposal, including a suit and tie, casual clothes like blue pants with a button-down red shirt, and an orange and black jacket worn over a white sleeveless undershirt, light green pants, and brown shoes. Goku wore an attire reminiscent of one from his youth when he returned home to train for the androids.

He wore a white tank top, periwinkle Chinese slacks with a white sash, purple-brown toe shoes, and white socks. His agricultural garb entails a light beige denim jacket with a white scarf at his neck, a charcoal grey short-sleeved undershirt, light beige slacks with a black belt, and black boots. His jacket’s sleeves were cuffed in white.

Goku’s complexion got noticeably tanned in Dragon Ball GT. His attire is nearly identical to what he wore at the 28th World Martial Arts Tournament: a blue gi, a white knot-style obi, pink wristbands, ochre pants, black kung fu shoes, and white stockings.

Because Emperor Pilaf was being reckless, Goku is now stuck in his 12th year. Goku maintained a striking resemblance to his younger self, although now he had far more muscle definition. Goku’s tail, which used to protrude from the back of his pants, gets regenerated with Old Kai’s help later on.

At the 64th World Martial Arts Tournament, 100 years later, he was back to his peak physical condition without morphing, but he was not wearing his tail. In one of the possible conclusions, though, he is an adult and has a tail. He dresses in his 28th Martial Arts Tournament garb for the occasion. Again, he’s sporting his trusty Power Pole.

GT Goku, while regrown and appearing in the Adventure Mode of Extreme Butden, dons his Dragon Ball Super classic uniform. When Baby Goku was brought to Earth, he wore the basic Battle Armor of the Frieza Army, as seen in Dragon Ball Minus. It’s a full-body suit with a black chest plate and lighter, protruding pads at the shoulders and hips that hang down over the tops of the wearer’s upper legs. In addition to the dark jumpsuit top and shorts, he wore light boots with dark leggings and dark armguards.
