All Might vs. All For One: Who Won The Fight?

Although the main plot of My Hero Academia follows Izuku Midoriya’s ascent to the position of One For All, we also learn more about All Might’s character and history. The series adequately chronicled All Might’s ascent to prominence as the world’s mightiest hero and the emblem of peace in Japan.

Naturally, All Might’s ultimate goal was to destroy the villain known as All For One, who has been the one orchestrating the villain world from the shadows ever since the development and discovery of quirks in the My Hero Academia world.

All For One feared the person who possessed One For All during the reign of All Might because that was when the quirk was at its strongest and posed the greatest threat to his authority.

The emblem of peace, All Might, was able to contact All For One while they fought what was perhaps the hardest battle of their lives. However, the manga and anime also showed their final battle, the rematch of the century, during the Hideout Raid arc. Who exactly triumphed in their battles against All Might and All For One?

The hero prevailed in the first clash between All Might and All For One. He may have won, but he lost some of himself in the process. All Might’s strikes were effective enough to leave critical wounds on All For One, who came dangerously close to death throughout their fight. All Might was badly injured, but All For One was able to inflict a devastating blow.

In actuality, All Might was unable to continue using his quirk for extended periods because of the wound left by All For One. In addition to becoming malformed from the wounds left by the hero, he also had a time restriction on his oddity because half of his breathing organs had been destroyed.

Therefore, All Might needed to find someone to whom he could impart his peculiarity, One For All. It was obvious that All For One needed to choose a successor when it became clear that he would not recover from his cauterized wounds. That’s why he started preparing Tomura Shigaraki to be the next recipient of his peculiarity, All For One.

While All Might was still capable of fighting during the Hideout Raid arc, he had already given his peculiarity to Izuku Midoriya and was starting to lose One For All. This was the time for the rematch of the century between him and All For One.

Like All Might, All For One’s larger arm is the result of concentrating his eccentricities there until they morph into superpowers. Both parties engaged in a fierce battle, using their greatest attacks.

At the very last second, however, All Might shifted his remaining strength to his right arm, allowing him to strike All For One with his fiercest attack, a powerful blow he dubbed the United States of Smash. Because of this, All Might won the rematch, even though his final attack extinguished the last of his One For All quirk’s energy.

Who Between All Might And  All For One Is Stronger?

Do the results of All Might’s two victories over All For One prove that he is the superior hero when pitted against the powerful antagonist? To find out who is superior, one must examine the individual’s skills and personality.

All Might Quirk and Abilities

Overall, All Might has a special ability called One For All. All For One’s sibling, who he falsely believed lacked quirks, was the source of this peculiarity. Because of this, All For One granted him the capacity to store power, which was initially quite useless since he couldn’t accumulate enough power to pose a danger to All For One.

But what his brother didn’t tell All For One was that he might pass on his eccentricity to others through a family trait. When All For One granted him the ability to hoard resources, the resultant combination of quirks, One For All, provided him the means to preserve and pass on his power to future generations. Izuku Midoriya has shown that he can use the eccentricities of the former owners of One For All thanks to this ability.

When All Might took over as the new One For All, the quirk had amassed enough power to make him the strongest man on Earth. Moreover, All Might had superhuman resilience, allowing him to shrug off blows that would have killed or incapacitated another hero. However, All Might’s greatest strength is his iron resolve, which allows him to keep fighting even when he is outmatched.

All For One Quirk and Abilities

All For One is an elderly individual who has lived a long, fruitful life thanks to the fact that his quirk, All For One, permitted him to steal any kind of quirk he desired. To that end, his physical make-up plays host to a wide variety of idiosyncrasies that, with practice, could be put to good use.

Thus, All For One has many peculiarities, such as Search, Warping, Air Cannon, Impact Recoil, Hypertrophy, Life Force, and Infrared, to name a few.

As if that weren’t enough, he can combine unique abilities to make them much more potent than they already are on their own. His mastery of Air Cannon allowed it to level a large section of a city.

All For One was the lengthy commander of a shadowy criminal organization because he possessed such a wide variety of abilities and eccentricities that he could employ them individually or in concert with one another to devastating effect.

Is All Might Stronger Than All For One?

Since All For One claimed he would never forget the look on All Might’s face when the hero was cornered in their first combat, we can safely assume that these two heroes pushed each other to their limits.

The second battle between the two heroes revealed that All For One was more powerful than All Might since he had more unique abilities to counter All Might’s brute might. He most likely stole those eccentricities to use against All Might’s powers.

However, All Might was victorious where All For One was unsuccessful because he possessed an unyielding determination to succeed. He dealt the adversary a fatal blow because he was determined to prove to the world that he was still the symbol of peace.

Of course, he wasn’t alone in his struggle against All For One; Endeavor, Edge shot, and Gran Torino aided him as well. Therefore, All For One would have prevailed in a confrontation. However, great heroes have a natural ability to collaborate. Therefore, All Might was able to triumph over All For One in their decisive battle because he was willing to cooperate with his fellow heroes and because he possessed an unbreakable will.
