This fall, Static, also known as Virgil Hawkins, the main character of Milestone Media, will go on a new journey.
Static: Shadows of Dakota, a six-issue limited series sequel to Static: Season One by reuniting creative team Vita Ayala and Nikolas Draper-Ivey, was revealed by Milestone co-founder Denys Cowan and DC chief creative officer Lee at Friday’s Jim Lee & Friends panel at San Diego Comic-Con.

Static and his allies effectively put a halt to Dakota’s black market jail business in Season One.
The mysterious Ebon is now posing a new threat in Shadows of Dakota as he goes on a killing spree in the underworld in an effort to locate his sibling. Violence is everywhere, and it’s hurting innocent people. How will Shadow deal with all of these issues at once?

Static: The first issue of Shadows of Dakota will be out on October 4. A young Virgil Hawkins is also featured in the first graphic novel Static: Up All Night, which will be released in the summer of 2023.
