The Adventure Time universe may have seen the last of Finn and Jake, but the series will live on with two unusual leads in Fionna and Cake. The series is making an appearance at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con with Fionna slated as a female version of Finn and Cake slated as a feline, female counterpart of Jake The Dog. If you can’t make it to the convention, there is good news: a new trailer and release date have been announced to give fans a better look at the Adventure Time spin-off series.
If you’re not familiar, Fionna and Cake were first developed as a result of the Ice King’s mountains of fan fiction that he produced for the original series. The new teaser hints at an origin tale for the two female leads by showing us earlier versions of them.

Release Date For Adventure Time: Fionna And Cake
The premiere of Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake will occur on August 31. The animated series will air on Max at the end of next month, it was disclosed at the Max Original Animation Presents panel at San Diego Comic-Con 2023.
The 2021 animated television series Adventure Time: Fionna and Cake centres on the titular Fiona, a human, and Cake, a cat. Both of these characters were first introduced in the third season of Adventure Time as the female equivalents of Finn and Jake, as anyone who saw the original series will recall.

Fiona and Cake will embark on a multiverse-hopping adventure and journey of self-discovery. While this is happening, a formidable new adversary waits in the shadows intent on finding them and eliminating them from existence.
Following the conclusion of the first season in 2018, Fionna and Cake is the most recent instalment in the Adventure Time series. A short series called Adventure Time Distant Lands ran concurrently with the original series on Max (then known as HBO Max) from 2020 to 2021.
