In December of 1997, Warner signed with the St. Louis Rams, and the following spring, he was transferred to play for the NFL Europe’s Amsterdam Admirals. He started all 10 games and led the league in passing yards with 2,101.
After the Rams’ regular quarterback was injured in the 1999 preseason, ending his season, Warner was thrust into the starting role.
