The Netflix hit, based on Caroline Kepnes’ novels and starring Gossip Girl alum Penn Badgley, was renewed for a fourth season in October 2021—two days before the highly anticipated third season of the show arrived.
A delight to watch Penn bring Joe Goldberg’s frightening yet intriguing life. As the show’s creator Sera Gamble put it, “We are profoundly pleased that You have given You such massive support and that people around the world have enjoyed watching Joe go it all very wrong.” We’re looking forward to exploring new and darker aspects of love in Season 4,” said the You cast and creative team.

Badgley’s Joe, a bibliophile, stalker, and serial killer with a soft spot for children, is the subject of Badgley’s Joe. Guinevere Beck (Elizabeth Lail), his first love interest, and anybody else who stood in his way during their courtship died sad deaths in Season 1.
With Love Quinn (Victoria Pedretti) moving from New York City to Los Angeles, Joe has met his equal. He began to obsess with another beautiful blonde after tying the wedding with Love in Season 2 and becoming pregnant with their first child. Yikes!
In the third season, Joe and Love move to the fictional Silicon Valley suburb of Madre Linda, California, which is full of wealthy mommy bloggers and a lot of gossips, so there are fewer places to conceal secrets… and bodies.

Will There Be a Season 4 of You?

There’s a good chance that Joe will once again relocate for Season 4, but Badgley stated that he didn’t know anything about it back in late 2021—and now we know where many of those Season 4 locations will be. Who Is In The You Season 4 Cast?
Season 4 is likely to feature a slew of returning characters, including Love, Henry, and Marianne, who have all shown as visions in Joe’s head long after they died. Saffron Burrows as Dottie Quinn and Mehl as Dante may make a reappearance as Joe’s companions when he fled Madre Linda alongside Arnold as Theo and Scott Speedman as Matthew Engler.
However, as Season 4 filming proceeds, we’re learning more and more about the new cast members. Charlotte Richie has been cast as an “icy b**ch” art gallery director named Kate, according to Variety. EastEnders veteran Amy-Leigh Hickman has been cast as Nadia, a “literature major with a love of genre storytelling and the aspiration to be a serious author, Nadia’s outspokenness and intensity are a perfect cover for the insecurities carried by a young woman who’s never been accepted by her peer group.” Her life is in jeopardy because of a series of blunders she’s done. Even if it’s from the wrong people, she’ll need aid.”
This season, Outlander star Ed Speleers, who portrays “a novelist whose memoir won him both renown and pressure to enter politics,” plays Rhys. Rhys was born into poverty and had a difficult childhood before he came into money and went to Oxford.
He is now able to blend in with any social group while simultaneously being able to see through the people he encounters.
