The final push for publicity for Venom has shown some exciting footage, with the apparent climactic battle between Eddie Brock’s Venom symbiote and rival symbiote Riot, which takes possession of Carlton Drake (Riz Ahmed), head of the Life Foundation research center that discovers the symbiotes, as the main point of intrigue.
Fans were recently treated to a new video of the epic (and terrible) “Venom vs. Riot” battle thanks to a Venom featurette, and today we have even more new views at Riot to offer. Try it out for yourself and see:

The following video shows what happens after Carlton Drake obtains a symbiote suit: he immediately sets out to design the sharpest cutting and stabbing implements he can think of, then unleashes them on what appear to be members of his own Life Foundation staff.
Before Riot’s symbiote runs rampant, uninhibited by the kind of warped ethics that Eddie uses to keep his own monster in check, Eddie Brock will likely completely embrace his anti-hero image in the ensuing struggle with Venom.
The symbiote vs. symbiote video has undoubtedly improved with time, and it appears that director Ruben Fleischer and his VFX team have brought Marvel’s symbiotes to life onscreen in a very believable (if not horrifying) form.
However, there is some worry that the promotional video that is getting released is spoiling a lot of the best action sequences in this fairly formulaic “boss battle” confrontation,
which is a regular blunder made by superhero movie studios in order to drum up audience attendance on opening weekend.
But it’s just conjecture based on a small sample of footage, and there’s already a lot of buzz around Venom, so much so that experts are forecasting a record-breaking opening weekend.
The final boss fight may be cliché, but a symbiote versus symbiote showdown would be something new for the genre that fans would enjoy.
Brief Synopsis: “After a controversy derails Eddie Brock’s career, he tries to resurrect it by investigating the Life Foundation, but he comes into contact with an alien symbiote that attaches with him and, in exchange for his body, grants him superpowers.”
