Someone on TikTok claims that the new horror film Untold is the scariest thing on Netflix right now, and that most people who start watching it end up being so scared they can’t complete it. TikTok user @tmi 7 (aka “Mr. Movie”) said that some people are even calling it “the scariest movie ever created.”
Since Mr. Movie said it was a must-see, there has been a lot of talk about the movie, which supposedly came out on March 7. Thousands of people picked up their remotes after reading the film review, which went viral and garnered 2.8 million views in less than 24 hours.
The content creator held up a document and said, “This Netflix algorithm report says that 96% of all accounts stopped watching the movie at exactly 9 minutes and 45 seconds. Now, I watched the movie past 9 minutes and 45 seconds, but almost everyone I told about this movie had to shut it off right there.”

Even though it’s still not clear what the movie is supposed to be about, it sure looks scary. A movie poster depicts a person in blackout conditions. The Halloween theme plays softly in the background, while the subtitle promises a “horrifying true story.” This all sounds very fascinating.
Clearly, many horror fans found the claim that many viewers couldn’t make it through the entire film to be intriguing.
Therefore it’s not surprising that a lot of them logged into Netflix to either view the movie immediately or add it to their queue. But, upon arrival, the vast majority were either bewildered or underwhelmed (or both).

Is Untold Netflix A Real Horror Movie?
According to Decider, it is a fake movie fabricated by a TikTok account. Several of early responders expressed frustration at being unable to find it. “I can’t find it. ugh,” one commenter wrote. “Really wanted to see if I could make it through the whole thing.”
“I can’t find it either,” another person said, “give us more Intel.”
“Why can’t I find anything on Netflix that you talk about?” Another person complained. The short explanation is that Mr. Movie’s reviews don’t apply to any genuine movies.
According to the TikToker’s bio, the handle is a parody account that was simply built for fun; yet, the fact that it has managed to mislead so many people into believing that it’s real is really astounding.
From what other people have said, it’s clear that a lot of people quickly saw through the trick. “I heard it’s so scary that nobody can find it,” someone joked.
“My wife and I made it past 10 min but we didn’t finish it,” added someone else. “My son wanted to but we didn’t let him, and he’s 19.” Actually, it’s kind of a shame that this isn’t a real movie, because if it were, we’d want to see it. For now, we’ll just keep watching shmunguss on Netflix.
