Actor Treat Williams, who had a career spanning over half a century and was best known for his role as Dr. Andy Brown on Greg Berlanti’s Everwood, has passed away, as reported by Deadline. Williams passed away as the result of a motorbike acc*dent in Dorset, Vermont. He was 71.
According to People, Jacob Gribble, the Dorset fire chief, the collision occurred at around 5 p.m. ET and included Williams’ motorcycle and a single automobile, the driver of which reportedly did not see Williams. The acc*dent just injured him. He was taken by helicopter to the hospital.

Actor Treat Williams, whose roles ranged from hippy in Hair to neurosurgeon in Everwood, has passed away at the age of 71. His longtime agent, Barry McPherson, told People that Williams had passed away on Monday as a result of injuries sustained in a motorbike acc*dent.
“I’m just devastated. He was the nicest guy. He was so talented,” McPherson said, noting that a car cut Williams off while he was making a turn. “He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers loved him,” he continued.
“He’s been the heart of the Hollywood since the late 1970s. He was really proud of his performance this year. He’s been so happy with the work that I got him. He’s had a balanced career.”

After the mishap in Vermont at around 5 p.m., Vermont state police stated in a press statement that Williams was taken to a hospital in New York. According to reports, the motorist was making a bend and apparently did not spot the motorcyclist.
