A 22-year-old former collegiate wrestler from Pennsylvania was murdered in a car accident on Tuesday (1 August), according to police. Tonee Ellis, of Norristown, was traveling on Route 22 West in Howe Township, Perry County, when she struck a tree at 6:44 a.m., according to a Pennsylvania State Police report.
According to State Police, Ellis’ car caught fire while he was still inside, and he was pronounced dead at the scene. Ellis was reportedly wearing a seatbelt, but investigators were unable to establish whether the airbags had deployed owing to the crash and fire.
