Jennifer Lawrence recently came forward to discuss her two losses. The 32-year-old Oscar winner met down with Vogue for the magazine’s October cover story, and while discussing the June overthrow of Roe v. Wade, she revealed the rare private comments. A miscarriage occurred shortly after the Hunger Games actress became pregnant in her early twenties.”I suffered a miscarriage in Montreal,” Lawrence revealed.

After welcoming her first child with husband Cooke Maroney in February, Lawrence revealed that she became pregnant again in late 2020, while filming the Netflix movie Don’t Look Up.

She told reporter Abby Aguirre she was eager to start a family after getting married and settling down, but fate had other plans. Aguirre stated, “She had to have a D&C, surgery in which tissue is removed from the uterus.”

Lawrence, who also revealed the name she gave her son, said it was especially upsetting to her that the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, removing the ability of millions of American women to have abortions.

During my pregnancy, I can’t count how many times I thought about it. Consideration of the physical changes taking place in my body. And the pregnancy was a joy for me. My pregnancy was a smooth one, which I consider to be a huge stroke of luck. However, she emphasized that “every single moment of my life was unique.”And it would occasionally seem to me that… Can you imagine if I had to do this?

Lawrence also discussed her strained relationship with her conservative family, especially her father, and how the 2016 election of Donald Trump led to a gap in their relationship.

Although she grew up in a Republican family in Louisville, Kentucky, Lawrence now holds her own political beliefs.

“I’ve spent the last five years trying to forgive my dad and my family and to realize: It’s different. What they’re hearing is not what’s going on. The way they live is different,” she remarked.

I’ve tried to move past this, but I just can’t. I can’t. I apologize, I’m just venting; I can’t f**k with apolitical people anymore. It’s the USA that you call home. Politics is an absolute need. There’s no way out of this predicament. Politics is a leading cause of death.”

She continued, “I’m bringing up a little guy who will eventually attend school. When it comes to youth mortality, firearms are by far the leading cause in the United States. And yet, politicians who accept NRA funding continue to win support from voters. The thought just boggles my head.

As in, “I mean if Sandy Hook didn’t alter anything? As a country, we simply said, “OK.”It’s been over 200 years since the Second Amendment was drafted, but we’re letting our children die for it.
