From Law & Order to Matlock, Suits to Extraordinary Attorney Woo, legal procedurals have been a staple of television for decades. As a result of this diversity, there is a wide gap in the level of competence displayed by the featured attorneys. The charisma and wit on exhibit in certain presentations are a little short of a power fantasy.
For others, it’s more about the suspense of not knowing which cases will be successful or unsuccessful. Jennifer Walters, who plays the title role in Marvel’s newest attempt into the genre, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law, falls somewhere in the middle of that wide spectrum.
The one thing you can always count on with Jen is her dependability. Superpowered antics have caused her professional difficulties as a lawyer. She would be a rising New York City public prosecutor if she weren’t sucked into a world of heroes and villains. Jimmy “Saul Goodman” McGill, the star of AMC’s Better Call Saul, is the antithesis of Mr Reliable. Saul is a defence attorney, but he seems to actively seek out conflict by devising elaborate cons for every possible scenario.

Saul Will Do Anything to Win
Saul personifies every negative connotation associated with legal counsel. However, while his ethics are questionable, his productivity is not. Saul isn’t motivated by financial gain, or at least not solely by financial gain. He enjoys the rush he gets from fooling other people, and the monetary reward is usually secondary to that. As a result, he will go to absurd measures to achieve his goals, including executing intricate frauds that go beyond merely testing the boundaries of the law.

Throughout the show’s six seasons, he did things like methodically altering every instance of an address mentioned throughout numerous boxes of documentation, stage phoney incidents to gain awareness of his cases and organise a fake letter writing campaign for a client. Saul may be a joker, but he backs up his flair for the theatrical with genuine diligence. One of his nicknames in prior seasons was “Charlie Hustle,” and the moniker fits him perfectly. To acquire what he wants, he will lie, cheat, and steal, but he will never do it in a way that makes his work ethic seem questionable.
She-Hulk Won’t Get Disbarred
Jen possesses a moral compass, a quality sorely lacking in Saul. Saul, on the other hand, has a limited grasp of the concept of “the line,” and even when he does, he can’t seem to keep himself from going over it. Contrast this with Jen, who has a strong moral compass—an essential trait for any superhero—and Saul, whose disbarment in Season 3 of Better Call Saul left his clients’ cases unresolved and his life in shambles.
In addition, Jen is a formidable opponent in the courtroom. In the pilot, she goes up against a large defence firm and is almost victorious before the case is dismissed due to a procedural issue. The opposing attorney is so impressed that he offers her a position as the head of a brand new division at his own firm. To top it all off, she has been successful in both of the cases presented to her thus far on the show by using unconventional strategies while yet adhering to the letter of the law.
Saul Wins Against She-Hulk in Court
Finally, the most indicative instance of how the pair will fare in court is Jen’s first major lawsuit. In terms of actual legal practice, Jen is probably Saul’s superior to Jen. She is just as convincing a public speaker as he is, though her authenticity comes more easily than his rhetorical flourishes.
She is an accomplished lawyer with years of experience and what appears to be a natural talent for the law, both of which Saul has recognised he lacks. And since she is prepared to do things “by the book,” Jen avoids Saul’s enormous financial problems.
Despite her many virtues, Jen was unsuccessful in her first major case. The opposition took advantage of a technicality to their advantage. Saul knows he needs to identify one flaw in his opponent’s case in order to prevail. She clearly dislikes being the centre of attention, and Saul is only too eager to exploit this weakness.
As the series of Better Call Saul progresses, he repeatedly uses advertisements to promote his business. Saul would probably stage an incident to bring attention to it even if they weren’t competing on a high-profile case. While Jen may be a more skilled attorney overall, Saul certainly takes the cake when it comes to going the extra mile for his client.
