. Mama Ru is already hard at work on the 14th season of RuPaul’s Drag Race, which hasn’t even aired yet! The series has been given a 15th season order.
The work room will soon be filled with a new group of drag queens, selected by Ru and her team. Each of them is vying for the title of drag queen of the year, just like their predecessors before them.

When is season 15 airing?
It has yet to be announced when the film will be released. RuPaul, on the other hand, has already begun selecting her new cast members. Applications for a casting call were open from November 2021 until January 7, 2022.
This means that if the production team hasn’t yet finished building their roster, they’re likely already screening audition tapes.
Season 15 of Drag Race is expected to premiere in early 2023, if the current schedule is anything to go by.
Who’s judging this season?
We’ve all been here before, so we know what to expect. In the end, Ru is the one who gets to make all the decisions and determines who gets to the shanty and who gets to sashay out.
Michelle Visage, Carson Kressley and Ross Matthews are likely to be on the panel of judges she consults.
And, of course, there will be a few extra-special guest judges joining the panel of judges. Lizzo and Alicia Keys kicked off Season 14 with a bang. It’s impossible to predict who will be judging the queens in the future!
What’s the grand prize?
Last season, the winner of RuPaul’s Drag Race walked away with total prize money of $100,000. In addition, the winner of a maxi challenge receives a $5,000 cash bonus.

As a bonus, you get the year’s supply of makeup, the title of RPDR champion, and a crown and scepter. Queens in Season 15 can expect the same, unless Ru decides to throw in a little something extra. We all know how much she enjoys a good twist or two.
Who’s in the cast?
It’s safe to say that Season 15 cast wish lists are already being compiled by fans. However, as of now, we don’t know which new characters we’ll see on the upcoming season.
