With the addition of Role Passives, Tank, Damage, and Support heroes can now take advantage of new layers of strategy. The game’s new dialogue, which totals over 44,000 lines, ensures that players will never grow tired of hearing from and learning about our heroes.
In our upgraded game engine, all heroes have had their visuals, visual effects, and combat sound reworked to keep things feeling fresh.
Experience More than Ever Before with New Features
Players will find a wide variety of fresh activities in Overwatch 2. Read on for further explanation:
Battle Pass: Beginning with Season 1, playing the game will now also advance players through a new Battle Pass system that will grant them access to a variety of in-game goodies.
Charms, name cards, souvenirs, titles, and the Mythic tier of skins are just some of the new adornment options available. You can get the Premium Battle Pass for 1000 Overwatch Coins or by purchasing the Overwatch 2 Watchpoint Pack if you want to level up your game and gain access to even more unique rewards. Check out our post on the subject of the Battle Pass for more information.
Competitive Mode: The competitive mode has been revised in many ways, including the way skills are ranked, the nature of placement matches, the rate at which skills decay, the incentives offered to those who excel, and much more. We’ve also added a ping system so you can talk to your team without really saying anything. This is just the beginning of our efforts to make competitive play more enjoyable and equitable.
New Push Game Mode: You can now participate in “Push,” the newest basic game mode. In Push, rival teams battle it out on a map split down the middle by a robot. By preventing the opposing side from getting too close, a team can move the robot closer to the enemy’s lines without being challenged. The robot’s forward progress will be slowed by the numerous barricades that dot the landscape and prevent it from moving quickly in any one direction.
Six New Maps: Take in the stunning scenery as the action shifts between Queen Street, Circuit Royal, Midtown, the Colosseum, Esperança, and Paraiso.
All the main game modes are available in these fresh environments to explore. In addition, many previously published maps now feature alternate daylight and nighttime versions, allowing you to examine your preferred locations in a fresh light.
Next-Gen Upgrades
Jump right into the action with Xbox Series X|S’s cutting-edge capabilities.
You can now hop right into your matches and experience intense battlefield brawls at 120 FPS in 1080P and 60 FPS in native 4K, thanks to Xbox Velocity Architecture. Connect with other players on different platforms and share your progress in the cloud.
