Pre-ordering Tears of the Kingdom will get you some virtual currency called Nintendo Points, according to the game’s official website. Curiously, it says that you can spend Nintendo Points to “buy more games and DLC.” You must have the complete game in order to get the DLC, as stated at the site’s bottom.
Nintendo hasn’t confirmed any DLC for the future game yet, but it might not come as a surprise since the same text was on the store page when Breath of the Wild announced multiple expansions.
Even though it’s unlikely that the company that makes Mario will update the Tears of the Kingdom DLC any time soon, fans have already come to expect better gameplay and more content, in part because the base game costs $70. Luckily, hints of this may be seen already, most notably in how Tears of the Kingdom’s map might potentially match the magnitude of Elden Ring, suggesting more expansive content in the game.
