On Wednesday, the federal prosecutor’s office said that the spouse of musician Nicki Minaj had been sentenced to a year of home confinement for failing to register as a s*x offender. According to a spokesman from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Central District of California, Kenneth Petty was also given a fine of $55,000 and given three years of probation. The office was silent on the matter.
Husband Of Nicki Minaj Gets Home Detention
For not registering as a s*x offender, Nicki Minaj’s husband has been given a year of home detention, as reported by NBC News. Kenneth Petty’s attempted r@pe conviction from 1995 meant he had to notify the authorities whenever he changed addresses.
The 44-year-old singer moved to California with Nicki Minaj in 2019, but he admitted he didn’t update his social media accounts. The US Attorney’s Office reports that he was given a 5-year prison term and a fine of $55,000 (about £46,000). If a s*x offender in the United States moves, they have five days to notify authorities.

Petty was scheduled to appear in court in 2020, but he just altered his plea to guilty. Prosecutors at Petty’s most recent hearing argued that his home arrest was too lenient and asked the judge to sentence him to more time behind bars.
