After only 11 shows on his seven-month world tour, country music sensation Morgan Wallen needed to rest his voice. After playing in Oxford the night before, Wallen decided to cancel his scheduled Sunday evening performance at the University of Mississippi football stadium.

Morgan Wallen cancels the concert last-minute, frustrating fans, according to USA Today.  After losing his voice, Morgan Wallen is resting his voice and postponing tour dates. Even though he is only 11 shows into his seven-month, worldwide tour, the country artist has already let his fans know that he has been warned by his doctor that he cannot perform.

“After last night’s show I started losing my voice so I spent the day resting up, talking to my doctor and working through my vocal exercises trying to get better. I really thought I’d be able to take the stage and it ki!!s me to deliver this so close to showtime, but my voice is sh0t and I am unable to sing,” he wrote on social media, adding, “All tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. I am so sorry, I promise you guys I tried everything I could.”

In Oxford, Mississippi, at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium, he was scheduled to perform for the University of Mississippi Rebels.

Instead, people with tickets saw a message on a screen near the stage that said, “Ladies & Gentlemen, Unfortunately Morgan has lost his voice and is unable to perform tonight – therefore tonight’s show has been cancelled. Please make your way safely to the stadium exits. Refunds for tonight’s event will be available at point of purchase.”

One Twitter commenter said, “Completely disappointed in @MorganWallen!! Been sitting in this stadium for 3 hrs and he just announced the show is canceled!!!”
