NFL Network And ESPN Got Rid Of Michael Irvin From Their Super Bowl-Week Shows After A Woman Complained
After a lady complained about his behavior during an encounter on Sunday night in Arizona, former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Michael Irvin canceled all of his scheduled NFL Network or ESPN appearances for the remainder of Super Bowl week. Irvin described the contact as brief, open, and generally non-physical in an interview with The Dallas Morning News. He claimed that other than a handshake when they parted ways, he made no other physical contact with the woman.
Irvin performs as a guest on ESPN while working for NFL Media. Regarding the specifics of the woman’s accusation, neither organization made a statement. Irvin described the incident to The News in a phone interview from Arizona. It happened after dinner and drinks with former Cowboys safety Michael Brooks on Sunday in Glendale, which will host this Sunday’s Super Bowl. Irvin went back to the motel where he is staying and started talking to a woman there.
