Although it has not yet been verified, TMZ said that Meat Loaf passed away on January 20, 2022, from complications related to Covid.
They say that a few days before he died, he was scheduled to attend a business dinner, but had to cancel at the last minute owing to a severe case of Covid.

Because of his “bright red” appearance, Aday claims he was given the nickname “Meat” just four days after his birth.
Aday’s father requested that “Meat” be written on the nametag of his son’s plastic crib since he resembled “nine-and-a-half pounds of ground chuck” when he was born.
His childhood nickname was “Meat” because of the spelling mistake.
Aday’s football coach gave him the moniker “Meat Loaf” because of his weight, and the term stuck when he moved to Los Angeles and started his first band.
