Perhaps the most adored anti-hero in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is Loki Laufeyson, the Asgardian “God of Mischief” based on the Norse deity. As the adopted brother of the superhero God of Thunder and the adopted son of Odin, Loki first appeared as a villain in the 2011 movie Thor.
Although he was initially an opponent, Loki developed into a popular figure whom people couldn’t help but adore. Nearly ten years after his first appearance, in 2021, Loki finally had a series that was exclusively devoted to his mischief and was set immediately following the Battle of New York in the MCU.
The Loki television series, which stars Tom Hiddleston as the title character, attracted a sizable fan base in its first season, and its success was more than enough of a justification to keep it running.
The six-episode series, which combined fantasy, mythology, space, and time, ended on a cliffhanger that hinted at the following season and formally introduced the Multiverse to Marvel fans. The second season of Loki, which will be included in Phase Five of the MCU, is anticipated to be even creepier and spookier than the first. So, this is all there is to know about Loki Season 2.

Loki Season 2 Trailer
The second season of Loki was among the shows discussed during Disney’s D23 Expo, which took place from September 9 to September 11, 2022. Marvel indicated that Loki is still attempting to make sense of things in the wake of the dramatic Season 1 ending in a piece of information that was given with Kevin Feige by Marvel. On July 31, we received the first Loki Season 2 trailer.
Loki Season 2 Cast
The D23 footage from Marvel Studios revealed eight MCU characters will return for Loki season 2, and Feige declared in May 2022 that the “whole cast” of the first season would return. So, viewers can expect to see more of Tom Hiddleston as Loki, Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Ravonna Renslayer, Tara Strong as Miss Minutes, Owen Wilson as Mobius M. Mobius, Sophia Di Martino as Sylvie, and Eugene Cordero as Casey/Hunter K-5E. Jonathan Majors might potentially show up as He Who Remains’ clone Kang the Conqueror.

Loki Season 2 will bring some fresh characters to the MCU. The season’s undisclosed “important role” for Rafael Casal was formally revealed in July. It was announced in September that Ke Huy Quan would play a Time Variance Authority archivist who appears in the teaser trailer.
Season 2 will also feature an unspecified appearance by Game of Thrones’ Kate Dickie, who is rumored to play a villain. Given the significance of Loki Season 2 in the creation of the Marvel Multiverse, it is feasible that other Marvel characters will appear in the series or, alternatively, that their Variants will strengthen the Multiverse.
Loki Season 2 Plotline
There was a lot of space for interpretation in Season 2 after the Season 1 conclusion. He Who Remains gave Loki and Sylvie two choices when fans last saw him: either ki!! him and watch as his versions obliterate the Sacred Timeline, or allow the timeline to continue under the authority of the Time Variance Authority. In vengeance for all the hardships she had to endure during her life, Sophia Di Martino’s Sylvie ki!!ed him.
A big impact from the Sacred Timeline’s collapse was somewhat predicted. After ki!!ing He Who Remains, Sylvie forces Loki through the time portal, and Loki ends himself at a Time Variance Authority where no one remembers him. Finding a solution for this parallel reality TVA won’t be easy for the God of Mischief. Similarly, Season 2 will be the season to find out what happened to the TVA employees who were all removed from their timelines and made to forget their past lives.
