Kayleigh Scott, a transgender flight attendant who rose to attention after appearing in a commercial for United Airlines, was discovered de@d on Monday at the home she had in Colorado. Her age was 25.

In an Instagram post published at 2:30 in the morning, Scott announced that she had made the decision to take her own life. Scott had previously discussed her transition in a video that United Airlines prepared for the 2020 Trans Day of Visibility.

As stated by NDTV.com, transgender flight attendant Kayleigh Scott, who became famous after appearing in a commercial for United Airlines, committed suicide and posted an impassioned statement to her social media accounts.

The 25-year-old woman’s body was discovered on Monday at her Colorado home, reports The Independent. She posted tearful messages on Instagram and Facebook, pleading with her loved ones to reflect on the “good memories we have shared.”

“As I take my final breaths and exit this living earth, I would like to apologize to everyone I let down,” Scott wrote. “I am so sorry I could not be better. To those that I love, I am sorry I could not be stronger. To those that gave me their everything, I am sorry my effort was not reciprocated. Please understand that me leaving is not a reflection on you, but the result of my own inability to turn myself for the better,” the flight attendant added.

Scott also apologized to a few specific loved ones in her statement, writing, “I shall see you all again on the other side.”

Andrea Sylvestro, Scott’s mother, confirmed her daughter’s de@th after the letter was released. “Kayleigh Scott…I am so unbelievably proud to have you as my daughter, proud and amazed by everything that you have done in your life, your smile was absolutely beautiful, your laughter was unbelievably contagious, and your heart was bigger than any of us could have ever understood,” Ms. Sylvestro wrote in a Facebook post.

The Independent reports that the Denver Police Department is currently looking into Scott’s de@th. The police said the Denver Medical Examiner’s office would make the ultimate ruling on the cause of de@th.

United Airlines also issued a statement expressing their sorrow for Scott’s passing. The company issued a statement saying,  “We are incredibly saddened by the tragic loss of Kayleigh Scott and extend our deepest condolences to her family, friends and coworkers.” You might be interested in checking the tweet below.

In 2020, Kayleigh Scott became a media personality after United Airlines used her in a diversity commercial campaign. She emphasized the value of coming out and being one’s true self in her Trans Day of Visibility clip. She admitted, “All I wanted to do was blend in,” adding, “I used to feel so embarrassed about being trans.”

Ms. Scott continued to discuss her life after her transgender identity was made public the next year. She had mentioned that she was depressed. According to her comments, she has been having a hard time finding joy and optimism and is pleading with the year 2023 to treat her better.
