Last week, Springer was visited by his longtime friend Rabbi Sandford Kopnick, who later told news outlets that Springer was a kind and generous person who was not really best pictured on his television show Kopnick said, “He was a great family man and someone who knew what it means to pay it forward.”
A close friend of the 79-year-old “The Jerry Springer Show” presenter claimed that Jerry hadn’t been sick in a long time. It is predicted that 6,900 Canadians would be affected by pancreatic c@ncer in 2023. The five-year survival rate for persons diagnosed with pancreatic c@ncer in Canada is around 10%.

How Did Jerry Springer Di*d?
After his family announced early Thursday that the daytime host had p@ssed away after a “brief illness,” PEOPLE has now confirmed that Springer di*d of c@ncer.
Linda Shafran, his publicist, also told PEOPLE that he died of pancreatic c@ncer. Rabbi Sandford Kopnick of Cincinnati’s The Valley Temple, a longtime friend of Springer’s, said that Springer’s “illness was sudden.”
The 79-year-old Springer, whom Rabbi Kopnick saw only last week, “hasn’t been sick in a long time,” Kopnick said. To quote the obituary: “He died of c@ncer, and he didn’t have c@ncer for very long.”
Generally speaking, Kopnick remarked that Springer “was a kind and generous person who was not really best pictured on his television show.” Springer was the former mayor of Cincinnati.
