Tatum beat the record of his childhood friend Bradley Beal, a star for the Washington Wizards. Beal made his 1,000th 3-pointer when he was 25 years and 223 days old.
Tatum isn’t the best outside shooter for the Celtics in terms of percentage, but he set this record in part by taking so many shots: The forward, who is in his sixth season, has made at least 170 three-pointers for the past three years in a row. you might also be interested to read about this Paul George Age.
He is currently sixth in the NBA with 171 three-pointers made and is shooting 35.3 percent as of Friday night.
All of those 3-pointers have led to a lot of points: Tatum broke Isaiah Thomas’ Celtics team record for most points scored before the All-Star break, which he set in 2016-17 when he scored 12 points against the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night (1,583). check also Darius Rucker’s Net Worth.
Thomas ended the season with an average of 28.9 points per game, second only to Larry Bird in Celtics history (29.9 points per game in 1987-88). Tatum, on the other hand, is on track to score more than both of them, with 30.6 points per game through 55 games.
Tatum has been putting up good numbers since he joined the NBA at age 19, and he’s only gotten better, becoming a real candidate for MVP in Year 6. If he keeps going like this, he could do a lot of damage to the Celtics’ and NBA’s record books by the time it’s all over.
