The singer confirmed the significant decision and said that it was Orlando who made her realize she wanted to be a mother in a new interview. Katy revealed to Chelsea Handler on her podcast Life Will Be the De@th of Me that she and her family had been temporarily relocating to Kentucky.
She also explained why she changed her mind about becoming a mother after realizing it was the best decision ever she had made in her entire life.
Katy Perry Feels Reborn Since Becoming A Mom
Katy Perry is a beautiful example of motherhood. On Sunday, which also happened to be Mother’s Day, Entertainment Tonight chatted with the pop sensation on American Idol.
Perry discusses the day and what it means to her to be a mother to her and Orlando Bloom’s 1-year-old daughter Daisy.
“One of my favorite things to do is ride bikes and so I got to ride bikes with my daughter this morning to breakfast,” the Idol judge said of her Mother’s Day morning. “We woke up, we were on the bicycle, it was beautiful. We rode by the beach and then we went to a fabulous breakfast. …I had a really nice time and created just a beautiful memory in the California sun.”

After having her own child, the 37-year-old singer says she has “even more respect” for her own mother, Mary, and has “grown so much” as a person as a result.
